As a teacher, I totally agree! Generic glue sticks, crayon, erasers, and pencils are the worst! I’ve seen glue sticks that do not stick at all, crayons that rub off of paper when colored, erasers that don’t erase, and pencils that don’t sharpen at all. Don’t get me wrong, not all off brand items are that way, but I tell parents to get specific brands so I don’t nag constantly that their children need new supplies constantly! I do buy my own children some off brand items, so I don’t totally knock everything! ?
