Audi e-tron GT Hits the U.S. Market — Starts at $99,900 with 238 Miles of Range

The U.S. market has been a bit late to get most of Audi’s e-tron models thus far and that’s no different with the Audi e-tron GT. However, despite going on sale in Europe first, it’s finally here, bringing a starting price of $99,900.

That base price gets you the standard Audi e-tron GT, which comes with two electric motors — one at each axle — powered by a 93 kWh battery pack to make 469 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. During an eight-second Boost Mode, it actually puts out 522 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque, which allows it to get from 0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds. It also gets 238 miles of range, as-standard.

As-standard, the Audi e-tron GT comes with a leather-free, vegan-friendly interior, which uses only Dinamica and Alcantara. Nappe Leather is available for customers that don’t mind animal products in their cars. Also, all e-tron GT models get 20″ wheels as standard kit, with five-spoke alloys coming with the performance package.

Also available is the Audi RS e-tron GT, which comes with quite a bit more power and some additional upgrades. The RS e-tron GT starts at $139,900 but comes with 590 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque. With Boost Mode, horsepower jumps up to 637 but torque remains the same. However, the extra power helps from 0-60, as the RS e-tron GT can do the sprint in 3.1 seconds. Surprisingly, that extra power doesn’t hurt range much at all, with the RS model boasting a 232 mile range.

The Audi RS e-tron GT also gets a standard carbon fiber roof, which is not only an Audi-first but a segment exclusive. It also gets 20″ AERO wheels, which look a bit cooler and help improve the car’s coefficient of drag. All e-tron GT models are available with rear-wheel steer, to help improve agility, as well.

Considering the Audi e-tron GT is available with the performance of an Audi R8, while using an entirely electric powertrain that boasts a competitive range, for less money than the R8 is impressive.
