Audi S3 Sedan Configurator Goes Live on Audi USA

[ad_1]

America is finally getting the 2022 Audi A3 and S3 Sedans, after about a year of the A3/S3 Sportback being on sale in most of Europe. With that comes the online configurators for both cars, of which we’re going to spend some time on, building our perfect cars. But the one we’re most interested to use is the builder for the Audi S3, thanks to its added power and style.

The 2022 Audi S3 starts at $44,900 for the Premium trim, which comes with a decent set of as-standard features. A panoramic sunroof, eight-way power adjustable front seats, 18″ wheels, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are all standard. However, the Premium Plus ($47,700) trim brings a few other options, such as adaptive cruise control and a memory driver’s seat. It’s criminal that Audi doesn’t include the latter in the standard price of a $45,000 car. If you really want some flash kit, the Prestige trim brings Matrix LED headlights, Bang & Olufsen surround sound, Virtual Cockpit, and a head-up display.

I’d choose the Prestige trim because I think it’s worth spending the extra six grand or so over the standard car to get all of those options. As for the color, I’d have to go with Tango Red, as I’m a sucker for red cars, but I love some of Audi’s color options. Python Yellow and Turbo Blue are also two great new color options, the latter of which is even a no-cost option, which is awesome.

Inside, you get a choice of either standard seats or sport seats. Though, you only get the option of either black or grey interior, with a few different contrast stitching options. I’d go with the black seats with red contrast stitching, to match the Tango Red exterior.

There aren’t many additional options to choose from, though. There’s the S Sports Package ($1,100), which comes with red brake calipers and adaptive sport suspension. The Black Optics Package ($1,950) brings 19″ wheels and an assortment of black trim pieces, such as a black roof and exhaust tips. You can also choose all-season tires as a no-cost options.
