The Macy’s Toys R Us Collection Is Here, and We’re All Feeling Like Kids Again

[ad_1]

Have you missed the famous Toys R Us jingle, “I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys R Us kid,” being excitedly recited by your kid, or maybe even you? Well, it’s back, along with the beloved (and sometimes scary) Geoffrey the Giraffe.

For over 70 years, parents and kids have flocked to the beloved toy store. But all that joy and merriment came to a screeching halt in 2017 when the company was forced to close its doors. It seemed like the mad, late-night Christmas Eve dash to Toys “R” Us in an effort to nab the one toy your kid willfully exclaimed just hours before they would die if they didn’t get was a distant memory. But now, Toys R Us is back.

Macy’s has swooped in, bringing the dynamic toy brand back into the mainstream shopping arena. Along with partner WHP Global, Macy’s is backing Toys R Us as “the dedicated authority for all things toys and play, with highly immersive and engaging content that seamlessly connects consumers to the toy offering at macys.com,” says the news release. The world’s greatest toy store is online at Macy’s through the year and arrives in over 400 stores in 2022.

This isn’t the first time the two retailers have joined forces. In 2012, Macy’s offered Toys R Us Express products featuring the 2012 Toys R Us Holiday Hot Toy list in select Macy’s stores. And as retailers begin to release their annual toy books, this good news arrives just as retailers are beginning to roll out their annual toy books. In fact, Target’s toy list release beat, not only Walmart to the punch, but kicked off the holiday season earlier this year (the first toy list landed in September last year).

Given this early start, it’s smart to beat the shopping crowds. Find out which toys made the Hottest Holiday Toys of 2021 list.

What’s In the Collection?

The Toys R Us collection is shoppable just like its website used to be. It’s organized by age, toy type, characters and brands, and includes classic faves along with the latest in toy trends.
